Surface form is the exploration of combining man made materials with found flora.

Exploring flora materials within my backyard in Coffs Harbour. Collecting banana leaves/flowers, macadamia nuts/ leaves, dried ferns, dried palms, and magnolia petals.
Process: Experimenting with found materials
Experimenting with a range of different techniques: Lowfi laser cutting, playing with form, boiling banana palms and flowers, making a paint solution using broken down macadamia leaves and rust from a cooking tray, bleaching leaves to create skeleton leaves, submerging leaves in glycerine in order to create a solid surface to stich into, and combining man made materials with natural materials
